The number 71 refers to it's year of manufacture.
She's a 1971 G.P. 200 Electronic which when Mick (the original owner) bought it was in it's factory white paint.
He paid £350 for it off a guy who got it from a scrapyard near Longfield in Kent called the walker brothers so
the scoot always had the nickname "the sun ain't gonna shine anymore". Mick told Alan the paint cost £550 in 1990.
It's got a taffspeed hydraulic disc and a TS1 225 and it's still on the 71 Innocenti crank and R.I.V. main bearings.
The original electronic kit played up from day one so that's gone and an A.F. one was fitted and
he had to hack off the battery tray to fit the T.S. kit.
Watch out for this one on the scene this forthcoming year.
Thanks to Alan for the information
