DTC 69 (Blue)

DTC 69 (Blue)

At last a DTC scooter with history!!

This scooter was bought by an LCGB website user called Sev

from a lad in Leeds called Ducky in bits. Sev TS1`d it and sold it on.

He believes it is in the Doncaster area so this goes to show there are still some around

Photos supplied by Sev, Many thanks

DTC 69 (Blue) was the last to be painted and built by Macca

and allegedly the same scooter that featured in Issue 1 of Scootering Magazine.

This particular bike was painted and built by Macca at his home in Rothwell (Leeds),

long after he had closed his DownTown Customs business.

Macca used his old race bike as the base machine.

Phil Duck (Ducky) was the customer and it was named 'End of an Era' - which was painted on the headset.

Macca spelt Ducky incorrectly on the sidepanels (Dukky)

so had to correct it by painting a black spot over the mistake and making the amendment.

I saw the scooter on a variety of occasions during the painting

and building stage - which seemed to take forever.

It must have been completed in about 96 or 97.

Sent to me by e-mail from Rob McGourlay, Thanks go to Rob

This scooter was sold on Ebay in November 2005 so is definetly still around.

More history for this scooter. Since it's sale on Ebay in November 2005, it was spotted at Bridlington 2006.

My intrepid reporter David Wilson from the Westgate Runners S.C. sent me thess pictures. Thanks David.
