9:15 arrives after a quick fag, it was decided to leave for the next pick-up point, the Little Chef at
West Lynn, were we had arranged to meet anyone coming from the East of Norfolk and
it was nice to see another 18 scooters turn up.
After chatting for a few mins and we were off, the weather was looking good the
sky was clear and sunny. We had no major problems and quickly advanced to the Petrol Station at Guyhurn
were it was arranged to meet anyone else.
At Guyhurn, we had further chats and fags and we were ready for the short run into Peterborough.
Unfortunately we hadn't noticed Buzzy had broken down, but it was terminal and he got a lift home.
By the time we arrived at Peterborough we had got split up and six of us ended up at the wrong place!!....doh
A quick ring to Corky from PLVSC and we soon found the Cherry Tree pub.
It was early for us for a change but the car park was
getting full, approximately 250 scooters, yet another good turn out for the PLVSC egg run.
Having had a natter with some old friends, and winning "Best Street Racer" and our friend Smiler winning
"Best Custom Vespa" in the custom show the Egg run was ready to leave and wind it`s way around
a busy Peterborough. With the police escort in place we quickly made our way to the first stop, The Manor Respite
Home for Disabled Children. After another fag and it was off to the Sue Ryder Hospice, a short trip across Peterborough.
Whilst at Sue Ryder, Gibbo from the Shed magazine did a photo shoot of Carl's new Lammy cutdown, Purple Haze,
We then headed back to the Cherry Tree.
We mingled for a half hour, had some chips and then decided to head home.
We had no major problems on the way home, it had been a good day and it was nice to have started the 2007 season with a good run.
See you all soon
